I am less than two weeks away from my departure to Honduras! The anticipation and excitement grow each day, especially as my checklist of things that need to be done is getting smaller and smaller.
God has given me favor with the finances needed for my monthly budget and for my start-up/departure costs. I have sold over 130 ‘support’ T-shirts, with orders for more. The main question I hear about the shirts is, “What is ‘Loma de Luz?” Loma de Luz is the name of the hospital that I will be working with in Balfate, Honduras. Its name in Spanish translates, "hill of light," and comes from Matthew 5:14, "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden."
If you have purchased a shirt, I encourage you to watch this 5 minute video about “Hospital Loma de Luz,” made by Samaritan's Purse. Then, if someone asks about the shirt you are wearing you will have more information to share. Plus, one of the best ways to assist me is to know what I am doing and how to pray for me.
I also want to encourage anyone who is supporting me or wondering about the call the Lord placed in my heart, to watch this video. The ministry is amazing and is always in need of more prayer and support—prayer that they will be equipped with what they need to continually move forward together with the funds that can make the growth a reality.
